Blizzard

Blizzard is a Roborovski hamster who was born on 16th September 2024 as part of an accidental litter of six. He has been with us ever since he was a tiny baby and is now just over a year old. Blizzard has beautiful white fur and all the classic Roborovski traits — tiny, speedy, and always on the move.

When Blizzard was younger, he was very shy and skittish, but during his time with his foster mum he has grown more settled and confident in his surroundings. He’s learnt to recognise the sound of her voice, especially as it often means tasty mealworm treats are on the way! While he can still be easily startled, he will take seeds gently from her hand once he feels safe.

Blizzard is quite late to rise, usually waking up around 10pm, and is then active throughout the night. He absolutely loves his wheel and will happily run for hours, along with exploring his hides, cardboard tubes, and enjoying plenty of time in his sand bath. Blizzard is content and well cared for where he is, but we would love to find him a suitable, experienced home that understands Roborovski hamsters and is happy to enjoy watching rather than handling. If the right home comes along, that would be wonderful — but until then, Blizzard remains a happy little chap just being himself.
