Rolo

Meet Rolo, a hamster rescued from the house hoarding case.

Rolo initially stayed hidden after being rescued and would only come out once all the lights were off.  Over the few months she has been with us, her confidence has come on leaps and bounds.  She is a very active hamster and enjoys having daily free roam time. 

She is a gnawer so will definitely need a tank enclosure and the more space the better.  Lots of gnawing based enrichment will be essential for her so this would include branches and other wood block gnaws, cardboard tubes and boxes.  She is a good burrower so deep bedding is essential too.  

She started off being a bit of a fussy eater but has gradually started trying different foods that have been offered.

She loves her wheel and enjoys trying out different burrowing substrates like coco bark and sand.
